Jonathan Van Ness and his husband, Mark Peacock, are big animal lovers, they've got three rescue dogs and several rescue cats, all adopted, all clearly cherished.

Katie Price, well known across the UK, bought a new puppy in Dubai this week, a pomsky (part Siberian Husky, part Pomeranian), which reportedly set her back about £2,000.
Here's the part that rubbed people the wrong way, though. Just days before that purchase, two of her cats had gone missing from home. One eventually came back. The other one is still gone.
PETA didn't let that slide. They brought up an offer they'd made her before £5,000 if she'd agree to stop acquiring new pets. Their reasoning is pretty simple: a missing pet deserves your full attention, and bringing in a new one shouldn't pull focus away from that.
What pet owners can take from this
A missing pet deserves everything you've got time,effort, patience for as long as it takes. Don't give up hope just because they haven't turned up yet. And a new pet doesn't replace that search. If anything, bringing one home too soon can look like you've already given up on the one who's still out there.
