1.Rinse off the dirt first, don't rub it in
Place each paw into the tub of water, or use a paw-cleaning cup if you have one. This softens the mud but doesn't work it deeper into the fur.
2.Check between the toes
This is the one thing that most people neglect to do. Separate the toes and look for mud, rocks or thorns between the toes. Dogs often step on sharp objects without reacting, and these are common on Indian streets and in Indian gardens.
3.Gently brush off dried-on mud
